I have an unadulterated passion for dark chocolate. This is the time of year when I really indulge myself in my favorite decadent treat (post Lent of course). Here are a few of my favorites (in no particular order):
Trader Joe's French Truffles
Rich, gooey, and
coated with cocoa powder, these decadent treats not only melt in your mouth,
they melt on your fingers. You have no choice but to lick them - or let your
significant other do the honors.
Hershey Kisses
What can I say about these? They are cute. They come with or without nuts or filled with creamy caramel. I love unwrapping them - slowly. I adore how they slowly melt on my tongue.
Ghirardelli Intense Dark Midnight Reverie
Tell me that name doesn't scream romance novel title. This luxurious chocolate is smooth, deep, and full-bodied. One bite leaves you with an intense pleasure that lingers long after you have swallowed the creamy treat. Enjoy them with a vintage Port, roasted, salted nuts, or my favorite - gourmet marshmallows.
Cheesecake Factory Red Velvet Cheesecake
Moist layers of Red
Velvet Cake and their Original Cheesecake covered with special Cheesecake
Factory cream cheese frosting. Served with a generous and fancy tower of
whipped cream. I confess this one combines several of my weaknesses - chocolate, cheesecake, and whipped cream. Picture a candlelit evening, soft music, two forks and the man or woman of your dreams.

ReplyDeleteI like chocolate, but I don't love it. I don't twitch in orgasmic pleasure over it, to be sure. What makes me moan? Popcorn. ;D
Mmm, popcorn is good! I like it slathered with butter. Or kettle corn! *wonders if chocolate tastes good on popcorn*
DeleteThanks for the tweet and the share Karyn!!
Chocolate is YUMMY on popcorn! Try Popcorn Indiana popped corn. It comes in several flavors and one of them is chocolate kettle corn! Don't eat the whole bag in one setting like I did! LOL!
DeleteI love milk chocolate. Love the cover. Wow!

ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog and just signed up for GFC, Susan White, and follow on FB. Thanks for the giveaway! Ride a Cock Horse sound pretty good!
Hi Susan and thanks for following! Chocolate is definitely a weakness of mine. The popcorn you mentioned sounds delicious as well. I will have to check it out.
DeleteWhat gal doesn't love her chocolate. For me, the darker the better. I will eat up to the 90% dark. I limit myself to one square a day. It gets a little hard but so far I do ok with that. Happy Easter everyone.

I have little control when I am anywhere near chocolate, especially dark.
DeleteHappy Easter Lynn!
Oooo I found a few new treats to try and I love The Cheesecake Factory. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that dessert isn't a seasonal thing. I don't go there often (its a little pricey for me and the boys) but when I do, dessert is definitely happening.
DeleteChocolate is at its best when it's melted. Your treats are really decadent!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Chocolate fondue with angel food cake, marshmallows, strawberries...I could go on and on!
DeleteI guess I'm a light weight because i just can't do the dark stuff unless it's a York Peppermint patty. I follow the blog, and I'm dying to read this book so please count me in.
ReplyDeleteChocolate and peppermint is a great combo whether it is light or dark chocolate. Thanks Shyla!
